Charts and graphs are great visual aids and can be used in Mathematics, Science and Economics. Google chart are easy to embed in Mahara eportfolio. You create your chart through Google Chart wizard by selecting a chart type first. Add your data in the second page of Google chart, ‘Editor’. You can find ‘Paste HTML to embed in website’ at the right of the page. Copy it and we are going to use it in Mahara.

The embedded code looks like this.

<img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=y&chbh=a&chs=300x225&cht=bvg&chco=A2C180,3D7930&chd=t:10,50,60,80,40,60,30|50,60,100,40,20,40,30&chtt=Vertical+bar+chart" width="300" height="225" alt="Vertical bar chart" />

which produces this.

Now you need to login to your Mahara eportfolio and create a new view. Add a text box and click ‘html’ in a editor tool. Paste the code which you copied and save.

You can find some demos here.
